Ephesians 2:1-10

By Grace Through Faith
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Frugal moms use cloth diapers to save money

I love using cloth diapers. They are certainly less expensive than disposables and those companies saying that they are not are just trying to keep you buying disposables.

I use imse vimse organic one size fitted diapers with thirsties covers and it works great. They keep the poop in most of the time. They work WAY better than any paper diaper I have tried. If I put a paper diaper on my son Ethan and he poops, I definitely will end up having to wash his clothes, which defeats the whole purpose.

Washing diapers is really a lot easier than some describe even. Personally, all I do is throw any solid waste (from older babies and toddlers) into the toilet and then toss the dirty diapers in a “wet bag” (a cloth, water resistant bag,) and then when I go to wash I just toss all my diapers in and run a rinse cycle. After the rinse cycle, I run a full wash with hot water and then I do an extra rinse cycle at the end to make sure all the detergent is washed out. Then I just toss them in the dryer on high until they’re dry. The type of diapers I use dry pretty quickly because they are fitteds. All-In-One (AIO) diapers dry much slower because they can’t be separated from the cover for quick drying.

I use arm and hammer essentials free and clear for my detergent. It is considered safe for cloth diapers and covers and it is inexpensive.

So, use cloth, it’s easy! Even if you work out of the home (if you are a Christian I hope you are staying at home), you can use All-In-One diapers and the day care or babysitter is required to change it because it isn’t any harder to change than a paper diaper. By law, you can’t throw away poop, so even with paper diapers they would be required to dump the poop down the toilet.

Here’s an article on the dangers of using disposable diapers…

There are plenty more articles where that one came from.
